In joining Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy, Mr Leach is looking forward to working closely with senior leadership, staff and the Trust to ensure every student is given the skills and knowledge to reach their full potential. He is consistent in his view that we should all always strive to improve in order to best serve the communities in which we work. He comes to the role of principal with a wealth of leadership experience and has worked across the Midlands for four different school academy trusts in a variety of different roles including head of faculty, leader of learning, key stage co-ordinator, assistant headteacher and standards and progress leader. During his time as vice principal, Mr Leach played a central role in maintaining a high standard of teaching and learning.

Mr Leach is joining the academy from Noel Baker Academy, where he worked as the vice principal for four years. Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy is excited to welcome Mr Simon Leach as their new principal from January 2023.
